Hello to all, i hope anyone could help me...
I had to change something on my Leica M5, had to rebuild some things and just wanted to ask if someone could upload photos of the viewfinder so that I can set the "default needle" for the light meter correctly. I had made markings, but I don't think they are quite right.
I need du adjust this needle:

I think I could manage the calibration with these 4 values
Shutter 1000 - with 400 ISO
Shutter 500 - with 75 ISO
Shutter 15 - with 800 ISO
Shutter 2 - with 400 ISO
my values are: (sorry for the last 2 photos, my smartphone display is broken, its sometimes doing anything i dont want...)
Shutter 1000 - with 400 ISO

Shutter 500 - with 75 ISO

Shutter 15 - with 800 ISO

Shutter 2 - with 400 ISO

best regards

I've never calibrated the M5. Typically you need a bright source of light to set the high end response, then a lower source of light (or a stopped down lens) to target the low end of the response and then iterate between the two as they do effect each other somewhat. There is also an adjustment for the battery test function.

Nono, u get me wrong, the needle is not the moving one from the lightmeter, its the static one (what is only moving if u change shutter or ISO) , i wanna rebuild like the original, that i can after that adjust the lightmeter....I've never calibrated the M5. i did dismantle my whole camera. I just would need pictures from the viewfinder with the values from above, without any lightmeter...
i think if you don't dismantled your camera yet, u will not quiet understand whats the problem, there is ISO, Shutter and the needle what have to be matched by 2 different “gears” and you can assemble it wrong (there are a lot of wrong combinations...) and than the static needle shows you false values, means its more left for shutter 1000 and Iso 400...
