Leica M6 35mm lens - .72 0r .85x

I use a M6 ttl with 0.58 magnification for my 35 mm lenses. There is only one uncluttered frame and for 35mm. It's a joy to use.
Ditto, I had both the .58 & .72 M7 for awhile and needed to sell one. Sold the .58 and feel it was a mistake. I shoot 90% with the 35mm and 50mm and the .58 is perfect.

The .85 is for the 90mm & 135mm lenses.

as most others have recommended, 0.72x for 35mm. the diagram you've attached is not quite accurate in it's representation of the view. with 0.72x, i feel the size of the 35mm lines is just small enough that i don't have to scan the edges and corners with my eye. with the 0.85x, you definitely wouldn't be able to see the entire scene without having to scan (which i personally find very annoying).
