I had my focus adjusted a few weeks ago, tested the 50/2 Summicron at the store and yet im suffering from some front-focus. Is there anything else that can be responsible for that problem except the already fixed distance meter? I was thinking about the bajonett or something. The thing that translates the focus from the lens to the body is sticking out a bit further than on a friends M6. Could this affect the focus? I hope you get what I mean... :|

I'm really really pissed and start to lose faith in rangerfinders, as I'm having no confidence in focussing anymore. It's beyond frustrating...

Cheers from Austria,

Did you have the camera rangefinder adjusted by Leica service in Solms? or one of the official Leica repair stations in your country.

Try it with another lens, preferably a 90mm. If it's still off send it to a Leica service station. None of my bodies have been more than 2 cm off at 3 m. distance. (I tested using standard testing cards spaced at 2 cm intervals.

Because the adjustment screw in the roller of the m6 cam es extremely sensitive adjustment without the apparatus which Leica have is very difficult. I tried it once myself with a Leica CL and used 2 rolls of film before I got it perfectly right!

greetings and success
