Hi guys!

My M6 TTL have been behaving a bit odd lately. First the batteries ran dry. New batteries seemed to work great for about 24hours. Then the middle exposure indicator, the dot, went missing and haven't returned. And the light meter seems to be off as well. Both the arrows are working but if I try to read the meter as a old M6 the metering does not work.

Tried to contact Leica Customer Care and asked for a repair cost estimate. They responded that they needed to look at the camera and that if they needed to open the camera the repair cost would start att 400EUR (which they probably need).

Has anyone at this forum encountered a similar problem and how was it resolved? And to what cost?

Regards

Gustav Bobeck

I just got an M6TTL, it's working fine but I'll be watching this thread for responses. That's a lot of money to open the camera. Any independent alternatives in Sweden?

I found two independent repair services in Sweden, Kamera Service Center and Werner at LP Foto. KSC stated that he didn't know how to deal with an M6 TTL and recommended Leica Customer Care. Werner at LP Foto is on sick leave until the beginning of march 🙁

So, I hope for alternatives. Otherwise I have a nice service cost to put in the budget for 2013.
