Leica M6 winding gear clean/lube

Hi all,​

I have an M6 in general decent condition. Speeds are ok, and about everything sounds ok. So a sending it to a full CLA may be overkill.​

But the winding is rough.​

Could someone share instructions to clean/lubricate the winding mechanism?​

(I have the correct clamps to open the camera)​

Hello Michael. Just a FYI.
I think you have set a light custom color for your thread text. It would work on a black background (like on my phone) but on my Laptop browser with light background, your text is unreadable. If you set the txt color to the default value, the forum will auto-adjust and be visible on all background colors.
