Hi guys. Me again, with another problem!

Last week bought a M7 chrome. It has the older style finder, and the old DX reader thingy. I myself prefer to set the ASA manually, never even crossed my mind to send the M7 to Leica to get the DX reader upgraded. So while I was toying around with the bugger, I noticed something very peculiar. The on-off knob is a wee bit loose ? Here's a video I uploaded to depict the problem.

It still functions as it should, turns on and off. A friend's M7 which was recently sent to Solms for a complete CLA, also suffers from this ( shall I call it problem ) ?

Dang. Was hoping to expose a few rolls of Tri X this weekend. :bang:

Wish I bought a M7 from the start! The electronically controlled shutter rocks! Getting another one real soon!

Leaving work now to check mine. I always thought that as long as it turned the electronics on and off it was OK, never thought to play with it. Then again I rarely remember to shut it off.

I sold mine but I remember mine was also the same. Never had issues.

Oh. Okay. Why did you sell yours?

Im loving the m7! thinking of getting a cle as a backup!

Though still keeping my m2 as i dont have the guts to shoot with the m7 while its drizzling.

My M7, year old, a la carte, has some looseness that I never noticed. Doesn't bother me though.

Im more worried about the RF of my M7 now.

Though on a moony day, brought the M7 out, took a screwdriver, then turned the screw at the lens mount till it aligns perfectly.

Then compared it with my M6 at 1m, 10m , infinity, all the same ;)

Guess correcting at infinity 'zeros' the rangefinder alignment ?
