Leica M8.2, good for shooting pictures of chickens

Whoa, bizarre. I just today shot almost exactly that same photo with an R-D1. Except for real!

It would have been much better with a Leica, I'm sure. ;-)

$6,500 to shoot chickens! At least it could have been, well, anything but a chicken. ;) At least I got the chicken in focus my first shot.

Yeah, like all chickens in the world are frozen stiff so you can focus with ease.

Focus on the head of a live chicken going about its business...

Mablesound is the chicken expert on RFF, he can tell you about it. :)

Keith, here is an opportunity to do a REAL comparison thread. Shoot the chicken with your OM and with your M8 and post some photos!

I use mine to photograph other moving targets:

I'm sure a Nikon would have been much much much much much much better at shooting anything, including black holes, but I prefer to concentrate on photos rather than bash other things.

 I was wondering why all the pictures were blurred but then I realized that I had the camera in crap shot mode and hadn't followed the instructions about setting the focus distance ...

On a more serious note, I quite like the RF focusing and frame selection demo

I demand more chicken pictures!

There is this look of bemused indifference on the face of every chicken that really makes me curious as to what they're thinking. Do they have any idea how absurd their whole existence is?

That's right, get out the camera, they fall over themselves to be the first one photographed. Then they stand there lookin' all dignified and such until you're done.

Hey ... that chicken gets around. I photographed it just last week with my OM!

I'm beginning to think all chicken photos are alike.
