We all know many feel the M8 suffers from noise issues above ISO 640. It does, however, still retain detail at higher ISO. There is alot of noise reduction software out there, and many prefer Lightroom 4 to reduce noise effectively with cameras like the M8. So what do some of you M8 users use to clean up your high IS0 photos? I would like to see full frame and 100 percent crop samples to illustrate different software and techniques.

I shoot with an M8.2 but not above 640, usually at 320. I use the noise reduction in LR4, but only slightly. (I like a little noise). Sorry no samples, but I would like to see other's examples, especially at 640 and 1250.

As a general rule, I do not apply noise reduction and I regularly use M8 up to and including ISO 1250. It helds up quite well against a camera like NEX-5N at ISO 3200. It's a balance of detail and noise (M8) vs. blotchy lack of detail and less noise (NEX).

ISO 640 and under for me too
ISO 640 and under for me too
I also keep my shooting at ISO 640 and below. I have found the M8 adequate for 80% of all my shots. My 35mm f1.2 Nokton and f1.0 Noctilux have helped me greatly in low light. When I do noise reduction, I selectively
blend in a noise reduced layer in a specific spot and preserve areas of high detail that do not need noise reduction. This has worked very well for me, but it is alot of work. It would be nice to see some great pics above ISO 640 with very careful noise reduction.
