Not a bad idea at all; if one is prepared to accept the well documented issues of the M8.
I bought 2 new M8s when they came out. I still use them.
They have traveled the world with me. And my M8s have allowed me to produce images that, in my limited capacity as a photog, have been wonderful.
Many hang on the walls of family and friends. Not to mention having been used in pamphlets and magazines of international charities.
But I have to take issue with those that have hit out at an image posted in this thread saying that it showed no advantages over any taken with a digital p&s and/or canikon.
I could safely say that of any image posted in this, or any other, forum. Any camera ( except specialist shots e.g macro ) could be taken with any imaging device.
To imply such, is insensitive and to some extent displays ignorance of the choices people make.
Here are some of the images I made with my M8s. Of course, they could have been made, even made better, with any camera. But these were not. These were made with the M8. The process, the lens, the handling , the M8 and I made these images. Blame me for the image quality.
And for the last one; from one of the many places the M8 went with me, and since I too use a cane now a days...
