scratch my niche
At the moment, I have to say that I haven't seen anything from the Ricoh or the NEX5 that blows me away, and I didn't really see anything to choose between them apart from price. My M8 makes much nicer files. Having said that, I think I am gradually getting better at PP on NEX files (I'm really rubbish with Lightroom).
It remains to be seen, in my mind, how the Ricoh stands up to the M8. Looks to me like the Ricoh may have the advantage in color and resolution. But the M8 is still beautiful.
trust me, the NEX 7 is a bust above ISO 400, and the noise reduction, even with RAW is horrible....well at least that was the case with the A77 I had. I do hope they tweak the sensor.
Above ISO 400? I just can't believe this. Hard to believe Sony would sabotage a camera they know many were waiting for...

think about it....24MP CMOS sensor in APS-C size.....for today's technology it's bound to be a challenge.

Yeah, but nothing above ISO 400 looking good? I've seen examples that looked fine to me at 1600-3200. Perhaps I'm not as bothered by noise and I am generally not enamored with pixel peeping competitions.

What's all this HIGH ISO fixation these days? Does everyone have a night job and has to sleep all day?
