Leica M9 Titanium Review

Which 35/1.4 is in the set, the old or the new FLE version ? (No ... I am not going to buy one ... just curious ...)

By that I simply meant to differentiate the LED version from the regular. As far as I know, they are identical in size.

In the review you wrote you were surprised that the rangefinder showed the traditional pairing of frames. This in combination with you calling them 'digital frame lines' seemed to imply that you were under the impression that the frame lines themselves were digital projections whereas they're really still just 'analog' frame lines with a different light source.

Anyways, no attack intended. Just thought I could clear up this misunderstanding.

Lose the red dot and the monster hood. Replace the hood with a smaller hood off ebay.

PS: thanks for review -

1. Titanuim body would be nice, but not at $22K. Seems a little excessive, especially since my old Konica Hexar RF had a titanium body and olny cost a little over a thousand dollars.

2. Frankly, I wouldn't mind the LED framelines. I've had problems shooting in low light , where the framelines were very hard to see.

3. Does the rangefinder focussing patch really turn red with the LED framelines? If so, doesn't it mess with the focussing somewhat?

NO screw for soft release. :(

but OK for me now as i find the soft release makes the camera so much more prone to accidental shutter releasing when carried in my camera bag. rate of such incidents goes to near zero when the soft release is removed...and i now do not use it at all :D

".....Paris Hilton is in the market for one..."

Well, as far as I'm concerned, it won't have any cred until I see Lady Gaga using one as part of her act.

The focusing patch is teh 'normal' colour - it just shows up strange in the picture!

No doubt there is red flare on the rangefinder patch... Maybe because the phone-cam is obviously offset, maybe because the led brightness can't adopt to the scene brightness as well as a window can?
