All,

I lost my beloved M9P and lenses, stolen from my home in Sydney on 24/10/12. The items were:

Leica M9P black body with Thumbs Up atttached and black leather Artist and Artisan strap
Leica 35mm Summilux FLE lens
Leica 75mm Summilux lens
Leica 16 to 21mm WATE wide angle Tri-Elmar lens
Voigtlander 12mm Super Heliar lens
Ricoh GV-1 WA finder
Courierware black camera bag and Zing lens pouches

Any information much appreciated to caamaa@gmail.com

I have the serial numbers and will be passing the information onto Leica
and yes, everything was insured.

Thanks, Chris

Horrible experience to have one's home invaded like that, and personal items stolen.

I hope the insurance company acts quickly to make good the claim. This reminds me that my insurance is due for renewal in a few weeks - time to act!

I'm so sorry to hear this.

Every once in a while, we hear of these burglaries in these forums, and every time, I look at all the gear I have and think to myself "I need to get these insured…". Perhaps now's the time.

I hope thing will turn out the best for you.

Do you have a separate insurance for your camera equipment or does the home owner insurance cover it?

I am glad that you will reimbursed for the stolen equipment.

So bad. Just this gone? That would be suspicious of some insight on the thief's part. People see me come and go with Leicas. Glad you're insured.

Sorry to hear this. Maybe an idea to post the serials also here just in case someone from Oz (or elsewhere for that matter) is being offered the equipment?
