Except some of us prefer AF these days...

Oh yeah, never thought of that but there are many cheaper cameras that are full frame and have exchangeable lenses with different pros/cons. I'm not criticising anyone for buying a Q however, I'd happily have one! Just thinking out loud (which is what the internet is all about haha).

I'm only about 300,000,000,000,000 frames behind him for practice.

Haha. Yes, same with me, too. There is a great video that shows Winogrand on the streets shooting. He could really multitask--flirt with women, gaze about high and low, and shoot, cock, shoot like no other.

Why isn't there an option for just keeping the lens at 28mm? Perfecto.

There _is_ an option for keeping the lens at 28mm!!

You just go into the Leica store, say you want to buy a Leica Q, slap down your cash, and keep the camera.

[Until you realize that color photos at 28mm equiv are as common as any facebook page, and decide you could do just as well with your iPhone, that is]

In the US the transaction details would be as follows: 43 $100 bills at ~1g each (loss of 43g) with change of 2 @ $20 and 1 @ $10 (return of ~3g) for a total cost of $4250, and a total loss of about 40g at 1g per bill. But wait, you gain the Leica Q at 640g!! For a net gain of about 600g.

You seem to be in the UK... the calculation in pounds and pounds might be more complicated.

You appear to be under the assumption that places like Facebook are my primary target audience. And also that anyone would be concerned about similar focal lengths, over content. Curious.

I have made two assumptions:

1) Your post in a thread entirely directed toward creative choice (amongst people apparently other than yourself, but by initial intent including yourself) was more or less equivalent to "No other choices are necessary. My own needs are already satisfied." and therefore deserved a sarcastic reply.

2) You are in the UK.

I think its reasonable to state that I would be happy with the current focal length.
Not even sure that your post came across as sarcastic, as sarcasm is generally quite funny. It just came across as, well, a lot of words for pretty much no reason.
I suspect you're the sort clichéd internet presence that could probably argue in an empty room.
That'll teach me to attempt to partake in an internet forum. Again

Nothing personal intended.

No argument intended (though I do wish camera manufacturers would bring to market camera designs meeting needs not currently met, much more so with native monochrome than with revised Leicas).

No further comment.

Have a nice weekend, really!

I'm thinking, feeling even, this Leica Q has some really cool and interesting handling characteristics, even though I don't actually own one (and probably don't need to). In any case, just wanted to say major kudos to the dev team!
