Leica R lens to Nikon FM adapter?

I'd sure like to try some Leica R glass on my Nikon SLRs. Is there an adapter for this?

I have a Leica Summicron R 50mm that I have adapted with a Leitax adaptor. It replaces the Leica lens mount, and you would have to stop-down meter. I use mine on a DSLR, and I reckon it's worth the hassle of being un-coupled to the meter - it's a very nice lens.

Exactly the lens I had in mind. I wonder if it would have to be stop-down with the FM? I hated that 3-hand operation so much that I sent five lenses off to John White to be converted to ai.

Yep, stop-down I'm afraid (or use a hand-held meter)

I've taken a file to a couple of old Nikkors to Ai them recently - perfectly functional 🙂
