As far as I can remember ther was a fotographer fom HK who adapted Leica R-lenses to an XPan Body (even if imagecircle was a bit to small).
Maybe anybody else remembers? I tried & lens mount seems to be very similar, but it doesn't fit.
Anyone tried to adapt an largeformat lens (240mm or so)?
Maybe with RF-Coupling? Or am I dreaming?

I don’t remember the man from HK, but there were 2 serious attempts building an adaptor:
a_ the dutch Hasselblad serviceman which produced adapotors Nikon -> xpan (for 28mm Nikon Swift).
b_Zoerk which had made some adapotors for CV Heliar 12mm -> xpan
As far as I know a+ b are real products, both without RF coupling.
The most practicable thing would to ask a small manufacturer (like Zoerk which seems to have some experience) to build an adaptor M42 -> xpan. (without RF coupling). Why M42 : first ist is easy and royalty free b) you can use either a Schneider PC Angluon 29mm* or an Arsat 30mm (with adaptor P6 -> M42) on it .The flange would fit.

Not with RF coupling. Not to cover the panoramic format - the camera lens mount would vignette.

Leica R @ XPan
Leica R @ XPan
Just want to know before I start to make my own
Leica R @ XPan
sure, image circle of Leica R is about 45mm - but for streetfotography a 2/90 summicron would be great - RF coupling is challenging but feasibleFinder said:Not with RF coupling. Not to cover the panoramic format - the camera lens mount would vignette.

You can search in the www.hklfc.com. It is in chinese . The one you mentioned post the photo and the equipment there

I bought a R to XPan adapter (no RF coupling). Should be here within a week. Possibly one of the few remaining as it appears the stock is drying up.
No R lens to test though. Anyone with a 28 PC
? I can test its performance against the XPan 30mm.
I may pick up a cheap 50/2 summicron and see if I can (or convince someone else to) hack a RF cam to it, ala Huw FInney. Will see...
