Hi everyone
I have been lurking for a while, but haven't been involved in the forums.
But I was wondering if you guys can help me out?
I've been a RF user for 5+ years, but after hearing a fellow Australian (Keith) going on about how great the OM system is, I went out and bought one with a 35-70 lens for $150!
Anyway, I have also been hearing how great the Leica R lenses are.
So, I was wondering if there are any adapters to fit a R mount lens on to an OM system?
I could find adapters for 4/3rds, but that's about it.
Any help will really be appreciated!

Never seen one. It would be tricky (the adapter would have to be exactly 1mm thick), but with the large throat of the OM bayonet it might actually be possible.

I doubt that you would see any practical difference in image quality between Leica R and OM Zuiko lenses unless you were shooting test charts. I would say that the biggest difference between the two systems is the price: you can generally find OM Zuiko lenses for a lot less than comparable Leica R lenses cost!

Thanks folks.
I was just curious about R lenses.
Oh well, it doesn't bother me too much.
Thanks again!

I see a Leica R lens being used on a digital Olympus - an E-1, by Jim Nichols
on the OM Users list - but have never heard of an adapter for analog OMs.
But count me with Ade-oh, Zuiko glass, especially in the fixed focal lengths,
continue to be every bit the equal of the German offerings.
