It is an interesting day today 😉 First Erwin with his apologethic views and now Leica
with a statement on AP
<b>Statement from Leica Camera AG - 26/02/08
'Already, in the working hours since the departure of Steven Lee, the Leica product development team has begun to review the M system strategy. It is too early to say what changes will be made. However, it is likely that the path may differ from the one set by Steven Lee. In any case, the M8 will continue to be our flagship camera into 2009. We can confirm that comments made during PMA regarding the possibility of an M8 upgrade to full frame were premature and we apologise if one of them gave a too optimistic outlook.

It is true that it is the desire of Leica to consider full frame within the M system. However, the final decision regarding the appropriate camera body configuration has yet to be made.'

one would think this has become a full time M8 forum lately.
no talk of a digital Fed or Zorki ?
it would matter just as much.

I'm sorry if this is off topic to Leica, but... as with many boards,, there is not a rule that you have to search before posting.

The VBulletin software is meagre at best in search results, and not everyone knows outside search options.

Members constantly reminding other members to search, however softly recommended, creates an atmosphere hostile to new members, and as such, discourages participation .

It is the job of the board moderators to merge and maintain the threads and posts, and keep the board clean. Why not just PM a mod with your merge suggestions? 🙂

---

I think the press release is important as it stops any rumours and sets expectations at a reasonable level. (It also will diffuse disappointment.)

The moment before I posted, there were four threads about this showing on this sites front page.
As you said it depends when and where you step in RF.
BTW I won´t excuse me for posting with out an intensive research on google.
If it is a heart´s desire ask the mod to join the two threads.
