Leica Store in Washington, DC

Here's a shot of Peter Turnley checking out an S2 after his talk, which was very enjoyable. They also had cupcakes with Leica logos on them, although the one I got just had a heart ...

All the cupcakes with the Leica logos are now either on eBay (MINT++!!), or on their way to private collections in Asia.

I had the chance to visit the store early this month. Wow! Drool city. Loved the Turnley exhibit and I'm trying to figure out the type of paper his B&W prints are printed with. The surface seems to have a texture to it and the prints are not digital prints.

They're definitely wet prints. In his talk(s), I believe Turnley mentioned that they were printed by Voja Mitrovic @ Picto (http://www.picto.fr/), the print shop used by Cartier-Bresson, et al., & where Turnley worked for a while. This would be consistent w/the prints he sells from his web site (http://www.peterturnley.com/printsite/prints.php).
