Washington DC Leica Store San Francisco opening meet?

Camera West is launching Leica Store in San Francisco on June 30th.

Anyone interested in combining our next Beer and Gear meet with the Leica Store visit? Maybe the weekend following the launch date?

A full blown Camera West would be more interesting : used, trade-ins, other fine cameras and lenses etc...

Anyway I'm around that weekend - so a good excuse to go and see.

So convenient of CW to place it right by the Irish Bank, where we've been meeting regularly.

It'll be Leica Only - not a full CW store. And from the construction that's still going on, I'm surprised at how soon they expect to open!

EDIT/correction: I just noticed they've moved the opening date to the end of the month - from 6/21 to 6/30.

Hi Donald, just plain black. All the artist wannabes wear black jeans, shirts, jackets, & hats now, so I thought silver might stand out too much in the crowd.

I'll probably be around the weekend of the 4th if you guys en up meeting. I'm very happy the store is going in and that Sean and the team from CameraWest are going to be running it. Hopefully they'll have a little meeting area to attract speakers, something the LA Leica Store does very well.

I saw one that my friend had last week. Gosh that thing is HUGE! Even if I could afford one, I won't be able to tote that around all day.

My calendar tells me the World Cup is still going on the weekend after the store opens so I'll stay in Sac to watch all I can. Unless of course, it's another stretch of 100 deg F days. Anyway, hope to see all of you sometime this summer. I'll be sporting a 1958 Monochrome-they called it an M2 at the time. Good thing, so far at least, I do not have (M)envy. Be well gang!
