Wrist strap - an ID badge strap and ring modification to the left strap lug of my IIIc. Then attached to my wrist with a loop in the strap, kinda like a lasso only simpler.
I use a waist bag ("bum bag") for the other gear - film, lenses, digital extras if carrying the digital. Bag to the front - ugly but fast to use.
And for the non-Leicas, a neck strap, but worn diagonally across the body with the camera under my right arm. Out of the way (I hate walking with the camera banging on my chest) but quick to get out without having to change the strap.
In the past when doing quick shooting with 2 cameras, both around the neck facing forward (as faster to get to/from use position), one with short strap and one with long to hang above/below each other.

I use A&A silk neck straps which rarely, if ever, go around my neck. When the camera is out of the bag it is in my hand with the silk neck strap wrapped around my wrist.
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.......

Neck/shoulder strap on everything except the Ricoh GR (that wears a wrist strap but is usually carried in my pocket). Reason: I want my hands free to grip, touch and hold things. I'm sorta clumsy and I tend to drop stuff so just carrying in the hand is out. I'm also sorta forgetful and I'm sure I would put the camera down and forget about it if it wasn't tethered to me in some way. I don't like carrying by a wrist strap--having the camera dangle from my upper extremity and bang into things while I use both hands.
I also will carry a shoulder bag, taking the camera out to shoot and replacing it afterwards...but I still have a strap on it.

For smaller lighter cameras I like a wrist strap. A diminutive camera hangs nicely from a wrist strap and modern poly carbonate bodies stand up well to the occasional bump - which inevitably comes when a camera is hanging off a wrist. Not so a Leica M. It has a bigger and heavier body and its metal shell shows even minor scrapes and bumps (though they have a reputation for being robust as far as operations go this is not necessarily the case when cosmetics are considered.)

I like to carry my camera bandolier style, across my body. If in a place where I identify much action, I oft have it in my hands with the strap around mi wrist.

I checked three, hands only, neck strap, and tripod. Depends on what I'm doing. When I use a long neckstrap, it's cross body as I don't like the camera flapping around when I walk.

I use a glued on grip, scarf style neck strap, and a capture clip for quick holstering if i need my hands free.

No strap. M Grip (the thing that replaces the baseplate and has a handle) on M4-P and M9.
if I'm shooting camera is in my hand. If I'm not it's in a bag with an insert.
