i don't think this lens is underrated at all. If you look through the threads here, you'll find a lot of glowing comments including words to the effect that it's one of the best lenses Leica ever made. Certainly the photos in this thread are evidence of that!

True! The Summaron 2.8 is the cat's meow. I would write more glowingly about it, but I am heading out the door with M2 and Summaron ;-)

Thanks for the kind words Johan & hendriphile. It was shot in daylight but I fooled a bit with curves using my eye, and some digital vignetting and glow 🙂. A bit of a departure from the actual scene.

I'm really enjoying everyone's shots here. It is truly a special lens. I need to get out more and shoot some fresh materials.
