I just processed my first rolls of Tmax 400 using the Super Elmar and noticed on the negative that there is some vignetting (I use the lens with the supplied hood and OEM UV/IR filter in place).

Is this normal and what worsens vignetting, larger (wide open) apertures or smaller (stopped down) settings?

Is there a reason to use a UV/IR filter with black and white film or even color film? I've only used those with the M8 while shooting color digital. Does the filter add to any vignetting on that particular lens? I'm not familiar with its construction.

Those UV/IR filters will add color vignetting on film too - not just digital. I would imagine that shows up as normal vignetting on B&W film since its essentially a red vignette.
