Leica war relic

I'd love to buy that and send it to Youxin for a CLA with a note saying ... "Please notify me of any extra costs over and above your normal screwmount service fee before going ahead."

😀

Of course, the ad should have said "worked fine last time it was used" . . .

It is interesting that the leather and brass has sort-of survived but that the body is completely gone.

I am resisting the urge to email the seller:

Hi,

I'm interested in this camera and have a few questions:

-Is the lens clear and clear?
-Any oil on the aperture blades?
-How is the contrast on the rangefinder spot?
-Any viewfinder fungus?
-Is the leatherette cracked anywhere?

Thanks!

Jim

If this goes for more than the price of a normal camera I'll be burying my Leicas in the back yard in preparation for sale in future! 😛

Interesting that all the alloy is just about eaten away ... I supect the lime in the concrete of the bunker was responsible.

Any bidders from RFF yet? 😀

I don't see anything a little WD-40 can't fix.....
Texican humor.
