Mods, I have no idea where to put this as a formal question. But, most visitors and members looking for information on the Leica X1 cannot find it. It has been said there are not enough threads, etc. but if you can't find a forum, where are you going to put the posts? I can't even find information about the rarely mentioned firmware update expected.
Forums are for information and many times increased awareness leads to substantial interest and more threads/posts.
So, how about it?
Instead of only a forum for the non-existing Fuji X100, why not a forum just for the Leica X1 and it's future derivatives.

It makes more sense to me to have a Mirrorless Forum with sub-forums based upon sensor size. There is a great deal of information on the X1 here and on other sites. It has been increasingly hard to know where to put posts for the X1, X100, etc. and turf wars regarding calling these rangefinders, or not....point and shoot, or not have erupted on a regular basis.

As I've already said in another thread... there just aren't enough threads about the X1 to warrant it. I have and love the X1, but the X1 seems to be a hated camera around here. The X100 had 10 threads the day it was announced and new ones come all the time. It just isn't the case with the X1.

Of that, obviously, we are all aware.
What I do not know is how to get an answer to this question. If this is not a good way, my apologies.

As a new x1 owner I just say I would be happy about a x1 forum where to exchange experience and how to...

Could just change the M8/M9 heading to "Leica Digital" so that all digital Leicas, past and present, could have a home. That would include the Digilux series, the D-Lux and C-lux series, etc.

I thought the X1 was a Point 'n Shoot

I own one of those Leica rangefinder-like digital cameras, too. Except for the ease of finding the bits and pieces of information, there is otherwise no need for a separate forum and there is plenty of information around.

The point is, it is a Leica that is here, now. The Fuji is not even available but has it's own sub-forum. Seems to me that it should not be too much to ask that it have it's own sub-forum as it will surely add to the community.
Camera Quest has done a wonderful job over the years. Fantastic job. It has also included Leica cameras as part of the community for people to share their discussion as well as get information. Not too big a stretch to allow a sub-forum for the X-1, IMO.

There just aren't enough threads to warrant a sub-forum... I wish it wasn't the case, but it is. While the X100 isn't out... it is a hugely popular topic here.

So, start posting some threads with images taken with the X1!
Generate the interest and resulting threads.
That is just my point, if we want something, we have to work for it while a marketing effort for the Fuji produces it's own sub-forum.
There is much to discuss both good and bad about the X1 as with any camera. So, X1 owners/interested parties, get busy.
I am only posing this as a logical suggestion, I am not on a mission.
In fact, my plate is full. I am done.

Honestly, I'd love to see it Dave, but the X1 is just one of the cameras I use. It's a pretty simple camera, so there isn't much to learn about it. It has great IQ and slow AF. That is what every thread will boil down to.
I'd rather post images in the theme oriented threads than in camera oriented threads.
The Fuji represents hope. The X1 is already the past.
