A little OT but I just picked up a Leicaflex SL body very cheaply. It may need some cla from DAG but it is in pretty good shape given it's age (1969 according to the serial number).
Problem is trying to find a standard lens for it. Nothing in any of the forums, ebay, etc. I missed winning 2 auctions for 50/2 by only a few dollars each time. Seems they are going somewhere between $175 and $250 USD for a user version.
I know that KEH has some but have never bought from them. I have heard their ratings are very conservative. Has anyone bought a 'bargain' rated lens from them before?
I am venturing into the Leica R lens world as I wanted to compare against my OM lenses and the m-mount lenses I have. I like the idea that you can repair the Leica equipement still, albeit rather expensive at times.
Any tips anyone can share on this system? Thanks.
