Send to DAG camera repair. He used to turn around adding cams weekly for around $100.

Try doing stop down metering as is.

A three cam version of the second generation 50 may be hard to find.

I would use DAG myself.

I wanted Sherry to mod my SL2-MOT to have the switch installed (film advance lever), but she said there was not enough space.

She instructed me to use a lens cap to turn off the meter. Pretty much with the CdS cell blacked out in darkness the meter draws no current.

Sherry also modded my camera for a common readily available battery.

A lot more photos under my belt now. The meter is superlative, the mass of the camera has, so far, eliminated any shake at slow shutter speeds, and paired with the 80mm Summilux, is in great balance. Unfortunately there is a problem at high speeds with some frames not exposing, so possibly a CLA and definitely a discussion with Leica store Wetzlar. However, I love it to bits.

Taken with the Summilux at f2, using Tmax 400 exposed at 800, inside HMS Alliance submarine at the Submarine museum. The control room guide, a retired Nuclear submariner.

If (a big if) he is still taking on work Peter at CRR (Luton) is ex Leica and a very good Leicaflex man (as well as all other Leicas). Contact only via phone.
 
I fear he stopped a good few years back. I'm sure there are others, but given the backlog with Leica repairers (Newton Ellis has had a lens of mine for coming up to 9 months) I suspect the best thing for me to do is have words with Leica Store Wetzlar.
