Looks like the image directories have been separated with backslashes '\' instead of forward slashes '/', which would work for Internet Explorer, and (probably) nothing else.

I checked out the article hoping for the best, but I see the long-running preoccupation with the psychology of those who hold opinions contrary to the author remains front and center in his writing. It's a shame, because there is much useful information in there otherwise.

Yeah That's why I found it amusing.
I've never heard of "Leicaphobia" before the author mentioned it.
Surely there would be no Leicaphobes, Leica ill-wishers or Leica haters on this "rangefinder" forum?
So where does the author's paranoia come from?

T handle on the decklid suggests earlier than 65. The W decklid suggests that it may be somewhere closer to early 60's possibly late 50's. It is not after 65 which got larger rear quarter windows of the 65-67.

Good article, Roger. Stories like this need to be told about all the facets of photography that have mixed acceptance or too many myths.
It seems that 84 was a good year to buy lenses that are kept & used forever. For me they would be a 50 & 90 cron.

Having just added an M6 to my brace of Bessas I found the article very enjoyable and useful reading. And I like both makes - they just feel and sound a little different, and the Leica has the same solid feel that my Nikkormat has. I first bought a Bessa because I couldn't afford a Leica. Now I have both and can appreciate them for their differences.
I use Safari as my browser and have no problems with accessing the photographs in the article.
And yes, there is evidence of both snobbery and inverted snobbery about Leica ownership. Some people become zealots over camera types - if it keeps them away from religion then I think that's quite OK. They can't do much damage here.

There's just something about a prperly CLA 1932 Leica II in black and nickel patina ,
that just whispers quality , durability , continuity , history ... and it's miniature .

I must admit that I'm kind of past the stage of trying to justify either to myself or other people why I have each of the ludicrously large number of cameras I own, other than that I enjoy using them or they have some kind of sentimental value. The only one I rarely, if ever use, is a Zeiss folder my press photographer grandfather purloined in Germany in 1945 but all the rest get regular outings. My two Leicas - an MP and a IIIc - are amongst my favourites because they are compact, easy to carry around and use, and produce good results, but not noticeably better than the OMs I also have. Nobody has ever said anything negative to me about owning Leicas and if they were to? F*** 'em.
