Leicavit M Discontinued 12.14.2020

Leica has discontinued its trigger wind Leicavit for the Leica M film cameras.


I personally believe Tom A's Rapidwinder version was the better product, yet I am sorry to see this go, making the M film system that much smaller.

no need to be concerned. plenty of them around and i don't think they are that popular anyway. plus i know someone is working on a new version of it (not leica). I have also seen product from small shops which seems like to be working great.
I agree the Tom A version is better and more robust.

Complex mechanism. Tom's is simpler and accomplished the same with fewer moving parts. Kind of like a Glock vs a Beretta pistol.
