So I found a box of Leitz Accessories this morning. There were two ABLON templates in the package. I'm a bit confused about the versions. Here are pictures of the templates.

Notice the finish differences... The first picture looks like the Square Chrome Version to me.

What do you guys think?

Austin, for what it's worth, Jim Lager, in his authoritative reference work, "Leica, An Illustrative History,'' Vol. III (Accessories), shows photos of eight different versions: round end, square end, nickel or chrome-plated, Leitz, Gerrmany, and E. Leitz, New York...As part of the eight, there also were two templates called ANZOO -- one made in Germany and the other made in the U.S.A. by E. Leitz, New York, for the 250-frame Leica Reporter and another, without a code name, for use with two kinds of developing tanks... I hope that helps...bob
