Leitz Minolta CL serial numbers?

So I just got myself a Leitz Minolta CL, with a serial number of 103xxxxx. I remember reading before that Leica CLs with a serial number of 139xxxx and above have "improvements" to them. Any truth to that? And how would that relate to the Minolta CL serial numbers?

My Leica CL has the same 103 etc serial number and that suggests they were all made together and a few or a lot had the minolta engraving variant (? for the Japanese). Given that production spanned only 3 years in the early to mid 70's I'd worry more about how the previous owner(s) treated it and so on but a roll of film should relax you over that.
