Hi,
The bit of metal that forms the leading or trailing edge to one of the blinds has jumped out of its groove and jammed. So does anyone know of a repairer? I know Oleg no longer does them.
Regards, David

What about FEDKA in NY? He's a reputable vendor, and his website says he offers repair services. Maybe send him a message.

Hi,
Thanks, I'll wait a while and then contact him.
I've heard there's someone in London (?) as well and yet no one's mentioned him/her - yet. Naturally I'd prefer to keep the camera in the UK rather than send it halfway around the world.
Thanks again.

Am watching this one with interest. Malcolm Taylor would be my go to repairer as he can usually work around a problem from an engineering point of view. Would be interested if there is a London option though.

I only know they are very difficult in repair. One of the reasons I do not want a Leningrad RF camera.

Hi,
I think that sums it up for all of us...

You might be better off seriously considering buying another Leningrad ... it might work out to be cheaper than getting the first one repaired. Just a thought.

I've got one but the shutter is in-op as well.
Would be nice if it wasn't a shelf queen, would be great paired with a J-3.

Well, FWIW, I eventually got my Leningrad repaired.
It took a while because he had another in bits and was looking for a donor to repair it and then, once sorted out, mine was done. But I agreed he could leave the RF and I'd do it as I know what a fiddly job it can be.

That's an understatement! Hopefully I'm not patronising you here but a word of caution: the RF mechanism is on a rather large alloy casting and it is notoriously fragile. Do not, under any circumstances, press hard on the RF adjustment screws (the ones in a triangle) to get the screws to move! The casting will probably snap and you'll be totally st*ffed. Unlock the screws with some solvent, I think they used shellac so meths should do it with a bit of a soak. You need to be able turn the screws with rotational force only. But I agreed he could leave the RF and I'd do it as I know what a fiddly job it can be.
Yes, I have adjusted one and yes, it was a total pain in the proverbial.

Think that could have been me!
He had a lot of trouble sorting out a slipping drum where the spring was not catching?
All sorted & a joy to use!!
