The coding is used in the "paint-by-numbers" pre-processing of both JPEG and DNG file writing. The IR/UV filter is just that, for IR/UV, and unless the firmware /knows/ the lens(coding), you will get kruft in your images with lenses "unknown".
I use it for only coded lenses(CV 15,25 & 35), thus an event-driven tweak.
Is your Nocti coded? Just curious... oh, and you've the 75 'lux too(no?)
