I just got an Olympus 35 SP and I like it quite a lot. Just for curiosity's sake, I was wondering if there are any lens diagrams available for the G. Zuiko 42mm f1.7 (or any of the compact Olympus RFs, for that matter). Google searching turns up nothing. Perhaps this is shown in some Olympus encyclopedia or fanbook?

Hi,

There's one on the back of the sales brochure. I'll try and find the time (guests expected for a couple of days) and scan or photograph it.

"G" is for seven elements. Many said it is a 5 groups formula. I bet a typical fast evolution from Planar.

Hi,

I looked for the leaflet where it ought to be but couldn't find it. And it wasn't in several other places either.

FWIW, it's 1 7 element lens with them in 5 groups. Four in front and 3 behind the aperture blades. Can't say more than that but I've had one for several decades...

No problem. Thanks for letting me know that much. I suppose if I'm truly curious, I could always buy a broken 35 SP and take it apart. 😉
