I didn't get this one but this is what you need. It is an Ebay sale that I missed and the price was great.
I paid a little more.

Lens hood for 1949 Summitar
Here's the so-called Leica barndoor collapsible hood for the early Summitars...It's from Hasbroeck's "Leica, A History Illustrating every Model and Accessory." Sotheby, 1983... It's called a SOOPD...

The FSU 42mm slip-on hood for Industar-61, Jupiter-8 and other lenses fits also the Summitar.

What I miss with many hoods, including this one, is a cap that fits on the hood.

If you go for a SOOPD, be aware that there are three versions, which need to match your lens. The earliest uses a screw clamp, and is for Summitar lenses with no groove around the front. The other two latch onto a groove on around the lens, the earlier groove is a V-groove, and the later is a flat-bottomed U-groove.
The SOOPD is a good choice on a screwmount Leica. The "ventilation holes" are in the wrong place for an M-mount Leica, where the round hood would be better. The SOOPD provides the best protection from flare, by far.

SOOPD is correct. It came in three variants, and only the first one (screw clamp) fits all Summitars.

I use a Tiffen series VI adaptor with ventilated round hood because it allows me to use other series VI filters as well
