Can anybody advise as to the availability of a third-party lens hood that would fit the Canon 50/1.2 LTM? I'm not keen to go through the expense of the dedicated hood (assuming I can ever find one).
Many thanks
Vincent

If you use the lens with film, and stopped down to f4 or more, a normal 55mm screw in hood will vignette. You need thin filters and a push-on hood.

When I had the lens, I used to use the hood made for the OM 55/1.2 lens. Nicely build, too. Like ebay item #280457017362 or #130352293956, but sometimes you can find them cheaper if you are patient.

Thanks Roland. Yes, I'm using the lens with film. The OM hood does look like a good option. I wouldn't mind a bit of vignetting though - I usually burn in the corners of my pictures at the printing stage.

57mm Clamp on Yashica 35 hood....looks just like the Canon f0.95 hood, no vignetting , best match for this lens, have used one on mine for over a year now, Kenko also made a 55mm screw in hood as well, 55mm is the screw thread, 57mm is the clamp on size.
