Lens hood for early Tessar on Contax I

That recent post revived my interest in these fascinating cameras.

I may have mentioned this before but never shown a pic. This is how I use a lens hood on an early Tessar. The original ones seem big and clunky and this little one, pushed down inside the aperture ring does the job AND allows you to set aperture, just!

I'v been selling stuff and this 'dimple' camera and one with slow speeds and a nickel/black Sonnar are the two I chose to keep. Why? Because both work!

Well, after a weekend of Contax I activity I can put the dusty old things away again perhaps for another year, both still working but I find them harder to use each time I try.
