LENS HOOD FOR ELECTRO GSN etc.

I now have two Electro 35 cameras but only one lens hood.
I am seeking another original hood or is there something that will do the job just as well?
The obvious factor to consider is the lack of intrusion in the viewfinder window.

Hallo Peter, I took a 55mm rubber hood and cut a few mm so the rangefinder would see through. Worked fine.

Cheap too.

Archivist, just be aware, some rubber lens hoods, will cause slight vignetting. I have a couple for my GSN`s and it is only very slight, I just haven`t bothered to trim the hoods. Too lazy! I think one of them may be Hoya, but no markings on either.

A 55mm Heliopan straight-walled metal hood trimmed to 15-20mm deep works for my GTN.

I have found a good condition one in a local second hand store - as it usually turns out, right under my nose!
