Hello,
my 35 sp is really great, but sadly so far I did not find a matching lens hood. I know, an original lens hood for an olympus 35 sp is really hard to find. I used a rubber lens hood (for Olympus om 50 1.8, clamp on) but it causes vignetting with aperture 1.7. I also tried a Heliopan Short shade, which is a screw in model – there is also vignetting in combination with a yellow filter… :bang:
I'm using aperture 1.7 rather often, so it is important for me that there is no vignetting - do you have any suggestions ?

Greetings bernhard

You can also use an OM hood for the 35/2.8 lens, it should work without vignetting. I sometimes come across SP hoods, but they are a little scarce even here in Japan.

Thank you, I think thats the one i tried - its a rubber lens hood for Olympus OM 35/2.8,50/1.4,50/1.8...

I have not tried the rubber hoods, I prefer the metal ones. You could move on to the 28mm hood, that one is sure not to vignette, but the OM hoods are more likely to obscure the viewfinder.
