Hi all,
What are the available lens hoods for the lens mentioned above? Anyone found any great deal anywhere?
I saw an ebay ad for the lens hood, but I'm not sure if it will works well (without any vignetting) with Voigtlander 35mm
Thanks in advance.

search for ebay seller heavystar - he has metal hoods, including vented ones that fit a cap on the front for about US$9.00

The vented heavystar hoods will vignette in particular with filter. This one will work very well, looks good, too: 360246806576@ebay.

Just got a Nokton, and while I like it's small size without hood, I'm not thrilled about the way the LH6 vented hood sticks into the VF frame.
The Biogon hood does not seem to be any better, though I'm basing this assessment on pictures.
Are there any other "less intrusive" options?

This is the one I want to get when I can afford to buy my Nokton back: http://www.shapeways.com/model/7641...-hood.html?li=productBox-search&materialId=25

CameraQuest sells a screw-in 43mm hood with push-on lens cap for $69:
http://cameraquest.com/inventor.htm
Look under the Nokton 35/1.4 section - it's called a "Small round hood".
I use this shade on my 35/2 UC-Hex and 50/1.4 Nikkor-S, and on the Nokton 40/1.4 when I had one. It's a great hood.

I found this one in a google search.
3D printed, looks like those summicron hoods.
It it in production at the moment, can't wait to get it.
http://www.shapeways.com/model/764151/ver-1-vc-35-1-4-40-1-4-compact-hood.html?materialId=25&li=ostatus
It mounts on the lens bayonet, it's smaller and man, it looks good.
Plus, it's cheap.
What can you ask more?

I use the shapeways one and I love it. One downside is that you have to remove the hood to put on the lens cap.

@Classique BUT IT'S SQUARE so you think you have a 1.4 Leica summicron right?
It's all about style.
The 35 1.4 VC doesn't really need a lens hood.
At least mine. Never saw flare.
But I'm curious.

I have the MC version, so I'm hoping that's the case. But I like hoods as impact control for front elements.

How's the viewfinder intrusion on your camera --and what camera is it?)

You can either buy the original dedicated one from voigtlander or you can buy the screw on one from generic productions..

Anyone else with the AnalogRobot (shapeways) Nokton hood version 1 who can comment on VF intrusion?

Yes, I use them on both 40/1.4 and 35/1.4.
On the M6 with 40 basically no intrusion. On M2 with 35 maybe 10% or so ?
BTW, they were designed by our own Cris (http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115068). I really like them, also because they are made from a hard but still elastic rubber material.
