Hello everyone.
I've got a favour to ask, perhaps of someone with an M8 or RD1. I'd like to see some comparative shots, of the same scene, between a modern 50mm Summicron and ZM C Sonnar 50mm. I've been thinking about it a lot, as evidenced by some other threads I've started, that the C Sonnar might be the 50mm lens for me. I like the idea of the (almost) extra stop it has over my Summicron, its small size compared to other fast lenses, and the lovely OoF areas it renders. I'm not one to like swapping or obsessing over gear, just would like to make sure I'm not about to make a silly decision as I'd be getting rid of the Summicron to finance the Sonnar. It's easy to find stella results made with each lens on Flickr etc but hard to judge how the other would have rendered the scene differently.
If anyone has ready examples or is able to conduct a simple comparison test I'd be greatly appreciative.
