I saw in improvement in process speed and AF accuracy/speed with the last update. If you don't have the latest you should get it for sure. Very easy to do BTW. Onscreen instructions on fuji site.

Yes, the latest upgrade is faster than the one that came with mine and when I switched off the power savings and LCD review it flies, even on a Class 8 card. I always format after off-loading images.

well, just found oput the techs already had upgraded my cam to 1.30. hallelujah! wondered why it was focusing so stinking fast ...

I might be imagining things, but when my X100 came back from Fuji with a new lens assembly and firmware 1.30, auto white-balance seemed much better, especially indoors incandescent.
Maybe it's my imagination?

Mine came back from fuji last week with a new lens block. It already had the most current firmware on it, so I just left it alone and started using it.. no issues.
