Quite a scene this was in New York Harbor. July or August, probably 1985. A celebration for the 100th anniversary of the statue of Liberty and its unveiling after a major restoration.
Damn skippy I fly her! Raised my right hand for my oath of enlistments for that old girl numerous times for 25 years. Still raise my right hand in salute even though I'm now retired. I fly this one because it's the first Stars & Stripes my family served under. Prior to that - they served under a Union Jack.
My flag has taken a lot of heat from the insane PC Police these past years, but they know where they can put this flag. I'm a Southerner, a rebel, and damn proud of it. The wife is Black by the way and feels the same. Oh, and Roll Tide!
