Let's play a game: Which car is your camera?

No , No....
'85 sport quattro, all mechanical, as relevant today as back then, just as fast without all the assisted driving stuff, imposible to break,....
Kinda feels like my Leica M6, sort of... 🙂

I am an 80's Audi fan, so....

My main camera or cameras now are a pair of Toyota Corollas. Excellent Japanese reliability. No frills, just amazing utilitarianism.
One of the Corollas is a 1973 lift-back, 5 speed (Nikon S2.) The other Corolla is a 1980 with air conditioning as extra (Nikon SP.) The newer one I use far more often.

Then there is the old 1969 Mercedes diesel that is extremely reliable but a bit quirky in use (Leica M4.)

I also have a 1950s Willys Wagon that is big, heavy, slow but can do what the others do and far more. It's just a pain in the butt to run (Speed Graphic.)

I have too many cars, but each has its use and I do use them all.

My Leica M5 is easily a BMW e28 M5. 😉 A bit boxy but built like a brick sh!tter and all business under the hood. Oh yeah... and they have the same name and country of origin 😀

Which car is analogous to your camera?

My Leica M3 is a Mercedes Gull Wing

What's yours?

Whaat? way too fancy a car for a spartan M3! A British 2-seater seems more appropriate. At least that's how I see my M4: a Triumph or an MGA.

Now, the Rolleiflex...that's my Benz.

I think you did fantastic. Although I lean towards an old Honda Accord for utilitarian and efficient and outdated, but that is also due to a history with that car, but like kshapero says that ZI is a bit more classy than either of those offerings. 🙂

Thanks, I really know nothing about cars 🙄

My Super Graphic is probably a 1959 Dodge Power Wagon. Big, Heavy, indestructable, reliable, well-built, and versatile.

My Leica M2 is like a Mercedes 190SL. Not as flash as the Gullwing but more people rely on them.

Pentax LX: Probably a Honda NSX. The supercar you can live with everyday. A super-high-performance machine that you could use anywhere.

Canon AF35ML: Honda Accord. Not particularly interesting, but so good at what it does you have to respect it.
