Great shot.
I'd like it even better without the borders. They are kinda distracting.

Outstanding digital black and white in the last several posts. Are these in-camera JPEGs? If so, what settings are you using?

Hi to everyone posting in this thread. Love looking at the photos here!
If you have a spare moment, could you say which version of the GR you're using these days? Thanks.

Robert is still a GR shooter. GR just has to accept its bench time in team rotation with the M10M, RX1, A7IIK, and 3 Sigmas. (Not counting the filmcams, which in this analogy function as coaching staff who used to play, and still guide their digital successors...).

Still using the first APS-C GR, Jamie. Started with GRDiii & film GR. Probably upgrading to GRIII this year.

Yeah, I feel that too on recent reflection on my images. I always wet printed with a white boarder, then this continued into my scanned images and then I still couldn't let it go for digital haha!

I always shoot RAW and convert in Alienskin Exposure X4, starting with a basic preset I made with an S curve, boosted whites and dropped highlights as a starting point and sharpness set to 90.
I'm using the GRII, possibly my favourite camera. Mine has had the lens hood adapter with a filter screwed on (no hood) since new as I was paranoid about the sensor dust issue.

RAW and jpeg for me. My default is the high contrast B&W, with contrast maxed. I shoot highlight weighted exposure, but increase exp comp by around 2/3. Slight tweaks in post. Don't care about blown highlights.
I only currently shoot RAW as well in case there is an image that particularly would benefit from colour. But I'm not a huge fan of digital colour.
The GR (III) is a snapshot camera for me. I don't want to labour in post with images. Love the high contrast B&W look, so that and snap focus were the draws of the GR series. I've had a few.

I shoot RAW+JPEG, but the RAW file is "just in case...". Usually I post the in-camera JPEG with no further cropping/post-processing. I have "Effect" set to "Hi-Contrast B&W" with contrast -2, sharpness 5, weak vignetting. I like it.

Ricoh GR (the first APS-C GR) since 2013. Still chugging along fine.
