Let's see your weird camera/lens combination

Here's the best I can do, my Bessa L with a cheap Rokinon 28mm in Canon FD mount, using the Canon lens mount converter B. Of course I could stick any FD lens on there to make it weird (like my 100-300!) but the 28 is the only one I'd actually use. I chose the Rokinon in particular because it is the only one I own that will stay stopped down without using an external accessory, and also because the aperture blades are slow to respond, making it pretty much unsuitable for use on my A1.

I think it looks better with the Orion-15 I just got for it :D

p.s. for those who are wondering, the finder is a T.O.C. universal 28-135

Now is there anybody on the forum that would like to start making an adapter, just a tube really, with male 39mm Leica filter thread at one end and threaded at the other like the back end of that lens head to fit the Visoflex II universal focusing mount? It looks better that a chunk of sponge. Probably more secure too. Of course it would have to be available in a choice of chrome, black, or black paint, but I think you could leave off the vulcanite trim. I want one!

I use a Canon 7.5mm fisheye lens on Leica M bodies with the Canon B adapter, so it is nothing fancy or special.

got today a cheapo Super Takumar 55/1.8 M42. no pictures from it yet as I need Nikon adaptor for it, but lens itself feels absolutely brilliant. small size, very smooth focus, clear glass.

Was this Al's last comment at RFF?

Carl Zeiss Distagon 16mm f2.4 (for Arriflex) on M8

Carl Zeiss Distagon 16mm f2.4 (for Arriflex) on M8

This Distagon was made for Arriflex (35mm film) and delivered to them in 1974. It's quite fast, sharp with good color, and almost covers the M8 sensor area. It's mounted on the M8 with an Arri to LTM adapter, and a Milich LTM to M adapter (90mm framelines), so it is coded and used as a WATE (not in the sample picture).

So far the MDa gets my vote for the weirdest (and neatest) combo yet. A red Leica w/ no viewfinder, pebbled covering, and a Nikkor lens. Now that is strange, yet somehow it looks great.

Weird on any camera.

Rangefinder coupled using an I-26 focus mount. Front Part Jupiter-8, rear group 5cm F2 Xenon, spaced to be a Leica standard focal length, aperture ring from a pre-war CZJ 5cm F2 Sonnar.

Kind of like the Highlander... There can only be one...

I need to come up with a different way of doing it. This took a lot of hacking. It was on a dare.
