Let's stir up on Konica Auto S lens

I have the following Konica RF cameras:

Auto S
Auto S2
Auto S3

Konica I
Konica II
Konica III
Konica IIIM

C35 [not sure if functional]

The Konica Auto S was repaired twice! Each time, the film advance lever jams. I gave up on it.

The lenses are just great on all the Konica RF cameras.

Hi Raid,

This being the case, what is your preferred Konica, and why ?

Cheers,
Ruben

Ruben,
The IIIM has a 100% viewfinder, and it has a very sharp lens. I find it to be the camera that I would keep if I sold the other Konica models. The built quality is first class, and the feel is great. The film advance lever is similar to that in the forefather of the Contax, namely the Zeiss Tenax II.
I had no luck with the Auto S, and I find the Auto S2 to be of similar built qality, but both modles having sharp lenses.

The Konica III may be a good choice too.

Some days ago I accidentally unscrewed front element on KAS and used several dozens of swab sticks on blades, both aperture and shutter. There's also mirror fallen off, but otherwise it's very clean.

I must admit that aperture ring on KAS is designed better than on later KAS2. Seems I'm going to try this Konica in action.
