I have a number of FSU filters some of which have codes like ж 1.8 and others with жC 1.8. I assume that the ж stands for жёлтый (yellow). What does the "C" stand for? IIRC the Russian word for green starts with "z".

ЖС-18 is high density yellow. ЖС-17 is medium yellow. ЖС-12 is light yellow.
Filters were manufactured in different places. At some of them no C was printed, because it doesn't mean anything, I guess.

Hi,
If it will help the filter factors are:
ЖС-18 x3
ЖС-17 x2
ЖС-12 x1.4
Had a quick look at mine and some have the LZOS logo and some the KMZ one but all have the C. And I've one or two just marked M 40,5 ...
Regards, David
