I have gone from 25, to 21 and now 18. It is easy to straighten a shot in post processing but not having the film plane parallel to the face of a building causes converging horizontal lines that are hard to fix. I now frame in the external viewfinder, but to take the shot I return to the camera VF and not only keep the horizontal frame line level more easily there, but also find it easier to orient the camera to have the vertical frame lines equidistant from the straight on point of the building, putting the film plane closer to parallel to the face of the building.

I was fortunate enough to get a CV Sprit Level mounted on a Double Shoe for my 12mm and 15mm wide angles. If i'm mindful when shooting I avoid converging or diverging verticals. Important to me now when printing in the darkroom.

The CV spirit level, is something CV should issue again - the only ones I have seen, had the spirit evaporated and were unusable. This would be much more useful than the nth issue of a softie or a lens hood for a lens owned by 10 people...
