No other Smashing Pumpkins fans? Just me? 🙄


Well today has been quite literally of epic proportions. I think the last time I had this much to do was the June London RFF meet-up (about 3 or 4 rolls of 35mm). Didn't get any sleep last night, so the creative juices are a little thin.

So if the cold weather and having little inspiration in Swindon wasn't bad enough, I had to make sure Rich was pleased with the photo's. That meant meeting at 1pm, and getting home about 6pm, and I've only just put the last roll in to fix, and I'm scanning the penultimate roll as I type.


I'm sooooo sick of developing, scanning, saving, saving again to compress, copying to cd, copying to mac, filtering the better images, uploading to photobucket, linking through myspace.


There'll be a blog Friday afternoon, I don't have the energy right now!!



Anyone else had a tiring day? Or were you all clever enough to go to bed hours ago? 😀



Kully/Mark did those cheques arrive? Sent them days and days ago? Screwy, I'm really sorry at the delay, I've been on at my dad to post that letter but he has yet to fulfill my wishes! It'll be in the post tomorrow, I'll make sure of it!

I'm busy working on an essay, but i spent about 6 hours in the darkroom in total in the past 2 weeks. Not much for most people, but it was quite draining for me.

And I used to listen to the Smashing Pumpkins.

I used to find even an hour or two in the darkroom was draining, but only when there's other people in there too

My cameras have been silent for some time now, on account of too much other stuff (photo-related and otherwise) getting in the way, as well as working up my freelance tech biz to keep the coffers from running too low, which has been a bit of a challenge this past month. The big event of the last week and a half: my hurrying to edit and produce two new portfolios of work for a curator's review. Lots of images to review, and more than a little re-scanning of some older stuff. And, once the portfolios are done, I still won't be satisfied with them because of the time-restraints I'm under. But I have to kick something out the door as best I can, so the door on my perfectionist tendencies stays shut for a little while. So does my camera bag, alas.

Which is to say, I do feel your pain, Ash, but from the other end of the prism.

DMG, yea I realise they're pretty old now, but hey. And thanks, the MF's are my favourite, but I like the more intimate/relaxed feel of the contax shots.

Some interesting stuff there, Ash (even the "jokey" 35mm pics). Looking forward to more stuff from that shoot. (Very English weather there, I see.)

Thanks Barrett, I think that blog is all I'll be showing from the 150-odd photo's. There are a lot but I don't really want to put too many more up online.

Strangely that multistory was slightly less urine-infested than the usual kind. we were lucky (I also had to get my hands on the floor for a few other shots not on the blog.. ewwww).
