on 9/15 Leica will be announcing a truly wonderful special edition M,
certainly one of their best special editions ever.
Jaded as I am, even I want one.

Have fun guessing what it will be. You will find out 9/15.

Its probly a different coloured MP with some writing on it and a different coloured leather. Maybe some lens you cant get with out buying the body and its encased in a nice wooden box guided with gold. The same as the price.. Would be nice to look at tho :)

So, wait, who has the ashes? Are these the same ashes as mentioned in the Hitchhikers Trilogy?

What are you guys talking about, I'm totally clueless - whose/what ashes???

My Hope: A real Re-Issue of the M3. 0.92x finder and all.

Take an MP, pull out the electronics, put in a self-timer, and put in the best and most expensive to produce viewfinder/rangefinder of all time.

Leica M3. Hey, if Nikon can re-issue the SP-2005, certainly Leica could bring back the M3.

An M3 re-release would see a lot of mint- Vintage M3's shaken loose from the collectors to get some cash for the new one. All in the plan.

Hey ManGo, you ought to check out at least the part of the Hitchhikers where they talk about the ashes. It's really funny, they rip the whole thing to shreds. And yeah, it's the same ashes.

Hm, just looked at the german leica-camera page, there's nothing new.

Ah! There it is, not much news though, just another finish for the MP :-(
